That is what happens to people who have no objective basis for moral values, but simply pulsl them from ancient tribal superstitions in whatever self-serving fashion suits them. We see this sort of immorality justified in Islam, in Christianity--indeed, in all superstitious belief systems. They have no objective anchor for their "morality".

I'm well aware there are Christians facing persecution abroad..... Even your wording is a study in phoniness, they are not facing persecution, it is not some fantasy potentiality which inhabits your world of make believe, its an ongoing reality. Many on the verge of being executed right now & some of the world's oldest monestaries & those treasured books destroyed up on that Syrian plain. (where aramaic prayers were still being sung, preserved from the 1rst century)
