Some of that supports my point, for example the fact that straws and stirrers where apparently a bigger issue then plastic bags, and that food wrappers and plastic bottles were each much bigger in terms of trash found on the coast.

Nothing in your post does much to refute the point that these bans don't produce serious positive results.
