Brian, I agree. In addition, any fabs pushing back capital spending now will be playing catchup later, again good for AMAT down the road.

I disagree. I believe we haven't seen the worst from Asia. Once
a couple of fabs get postponed I believe AMAt could see the low 20's
in 1998. I do not think this is the time to add to one's position .
Having said that I think AMAt is well positioned once the 300
mm transition does start ocurring.

Brian, we still don't have data on this christmas shopping season. So I am still waiting for more data. What do you think of the retail sales based on your personal experience? I got a funny feeling that we will have a decent shopping season both in US and Europe.
