Mohan, I normally do well in trading fluctuations for stocks but I am disappointed in myself.

On Friday I closed naked AOL calls at 81+ for taco money knowing full well that the stock would go higher, yet I did not trade it long. Same with YHOO ... I saw from a technical and a market sentiment pespective that it would be making new highs and told TT so last week. Again I did not go long. Instead my feelings about valuation, IPOs, and sucky AOL service clouded my technical read and trader's instinct. btw, I've owned the CSCO kid so long it is hard to short it, but I will.

Will try to trade without emotions in '98. But when the emotions persist, I will not enter the trades.

DEAR MOHAN:

Got a serious urge to buy puts or short something today. My Dad keeps telling me that shorting and options are dangerous. How do I get over it and just wait for Santa? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Who do you like in the playoffs?
