I don't know what day that was stated on this thread by someone sometime last week. We had asked him for proof in writing and we never got an answer. People I spoke to around here have never heard of it either. I didn't want to search through the whole INTC thread to see if it was ever mentioned over there. So I posed the question. I have to agree with you that from a business stand point I can't see them having anything to do with each other. However, MSFT bought a nice chunk out of the cable industry. Companies with loads of money need somewhere to park it. It just goes to show how fast rumors can start. I'm long AMAT till at least summer '98.
