Tom, great post and I agree with your points. We don't need hype, we need hard work and that will eventually produce the results we want. I also saw that article in the Times this sunday. The first thing that came to mind that this kind of publicity was going to get every environmentalist on the planet coming after them. Even if they win it will take time and money to deal with.
