CJ, Tenchu's first rule of partisan politics is inherently hypocritical. That should be obvious.

The key is that you have to take the initiative and be the first one to make the accusation.

In the case of Democrats accusing Republicans of "unprecedented obstructionism," they are being utter hypocrites, but it doesn't matter. They successfully put the Republicans on the defensive, as the media had a field day with the "Party of No" meme. Doesn't matter if conservatives rightly point out how the Democrats themselves were guilty of obstructionism in the past.
