Addendum: He compared the global recession in 1973-74 that followed a disruption in oil supplies to the one that might follow, for the first time historically, a disruption in information supply. The tone and content were grave. Scared me. Bought more tpro. Had to rob that bank, but well worth it, I feel.

Yardeni was believable. He approached the Y2K issue in a reasonable non-hypester fashion. I imagine that any investor watching him would now believe that the Y2K issue is real if they had any doubts before. Now when the investors pick up the papers and read the news releases it will only build on the fine foundation Yardeni laid.

Too, his website was referenced, so many will surf there to get more details.
