There's no economic reason for the Fed to increase their target interest rate.

But if banks are suffering, the Fed will either have to raise rates or find some other method to subsidize them.

The majority of trust funds rely heavily on bank dividends to provide income for those with inherited money.

I understand many people with trust funds are not capable of earning money through gainful employment, so this is an important social issue.
