Ted, I can't remember the evolutionary terms I learned.......but I think its an example of adaptation. Here you have this non sentient organism making decisions that benefit the plant. To me that's extraordinary..........and it takes a mind of amazing powers to put such a plan into motion. This is why I believe God, or at least some higher power, created the Earth. Maybe not literally in six days, but in a way that is more believable than just all of this coming out of some "primordial soup." I asked CJ and I will ask you........what do you think are the benefits of terraforming Mars? Actually, I'm not really sure Mars should be terraformed, other than to run experiments. Better to just terraform Earth because even if we screw up the environment here via global warming or whatever, the starting point is still a lot closer than the Martian atmosphere. Tenchusatsu
