Y'know, I looked for the planets two weeks ago. I could not find Mercury even with my industrial-strength binoculars. Also, the mostly-cloudy weather didn't help much at all.
But if you look west tonight at twilight, you'll see a rare sight: Venus the brightest natural object in the sky, low in the Southwest. And just below/beside it, much fainter, is the orange dot of Mars. Tonight they're at conjunction (closest visual approach). Strung up toward the east are Jupiter and Saturn. Check it out
