OH, we know that those shorts are well heeled. They could have started the move with their low volume buys that took the stock up 1/2. That got others juiced that something was up and they then pushed the price higher. The shorts short the stock and then sell what they bought to drive the price back down. Cute.

re 'engineered run'

well, my couple of hours out turned into all day, so other than closing data, i don't know what happened today with ipm... this is what was happening friday. MM Wain had very large size on the bid side, but as staying right under the trading range. i.e. if bid was 1.75, they might be bidding 1 9/16... this went on all day. the size was showing up, but wain wasn't taking any stock in. about mid day it started rising without any size... the ask might have been 1 7/8, and you'd have one or two trades and they would move the ask up. just looked very funny. i think this run is over now... but we should have more to look forward to... ipm is now officially tradable again!<g>
