Im still calling for 70+ before earnings...now this issue will be among the juiciest short opportunities when that day comes in a few weeks, but guess what...there wont be any shares available to short for average Joe investors! So you must either try for a synthetic short at that time(which will be extremely expensive because of the super high option prices on YHOO) or short in the coming days, take a short term loss but be in the position to profit GREATLY after earnings...JMO ,Good Luck everyone

Good points! Thanks.

<<Point one: internet advertising stocks (YHOO, AOL) have benefitted from the exodus of capital from tech stocks seen to have greater exposure in Asia. (EOQ)>>

I would think that the continued Tech Stock carnage would have provided some "buying opportunities", thuz raizing the opportunity cost of capital and fascilitating abandoning a short position in YHOO. After all, why tie up funds and wait forever for YHOO to take a dive, when there are so many basement bargains out there (seemingly) with a better chance of appreciating than YHOO is of collapsing...(not to mention the better short picks)

The thought has crossed my mind..
(Unfortunately) I am just too stuburn and plan on sticking around for the ride down. It is a valuable lesson, though...
