It's very nice, actually. You keep a database of all stocks on your hard drive, and at any time you can run a scan based on both TA and FA (I know you hate that word).

For example:
You can have it scan all stocks for a 50% volume jump over the 50DMA, whose market cap is greater than $50M and whose PE is less than 30. Then, dump this list to a MS directory and run Explorer scans on it.
