If it was a facsimile that clearly wasn't real (like the gun charm on a charm bracelet that got one student in trouble, or a picture of a gun on a t-shirt) they might get in trouble anyway but they shouldn't.

This one isn't that far removed but from what I've heard they never (at least from the principle's office on, I'm not sure about the first teacher) thought it was a bomb.
