Stocks usually advance, on the day of the reccomendation, and go the other direction immediately there after. Let's try another one. ASND. Who in 1994 knew about ASND. It was not till they ran up quite a bit before analysts started covering them. At this point, ASND became volatile, and a lot harder to hold. Had it not been for a roaring bull market, ASND would have never maintained a PE of 100 or more for such a long time. Let's face it. Funds like to be proud of being the only ones to know about something. They'd rather manipulate a stock price than have five or ten analysts trying to say something. Yeah SYNT doesn't have many funds that have reported a postion. Many funds only report once a quarter, though, and use a March, June, September, December schedule. Many funds won't buy the very first week of trading, so they probably didn't buy much last quarter. According to IBD, there is 1% ownership though.

Well on to something relevant. Y2K stocks made a nice move today. Here are some that moved:

CBR - bought them myself today out of a cup and handle base.
CHRZ
CBSL
KEA
SYNT
IMRS
ACLY
ANLY
AUD
BRCP
CA

among others. The y2k run that made many a millionaire last year, happened at this time in the year. Maybe round two, the safe round, is about to begin. No more false players such as Zitel left.

COGIF reported a contract Friday, and BDMI anounced one today.
