I just try to remember when someone ask how you are feeling, they don't really want to know..just respond, "Fine!"..so I guess I"m fine. Whenever I'd ask my grandmother, "how are you?" I'd elicit a 30 minute monologue of how terrible she was and how everything in her life was just awful. I got to the point where I would greet her with "It's so good to see you again!" That worked pretty well to forestall the complaints.
