Ist das endgültig das Aus für Diesel als Kraftstoff? "Is this finally the end of diesel as an auto fuel?" is "Die Welt" asking sensationally if it's even possible for VW to solve their diesel emissions problem.

And this is a very serious question for Volkswagen and for Germans who have cars with smaller diesel engines.

Mercedes and BMW have larger and hotter engines which vaporize the urea - so urea with EGR is the total diesel solution.

But VW has not found a working answer to NOx emissions for smaller diesel engines.

Even the 2106 Tiguan NOx reduction system is not effective enough, even though it is the result of seven years of emergency development!

Volkswagen Group has already shipped 11 million diesel vehicles globally which aren't even close to meeting Euro 5 or Euro 6 standards.

This is not at all OK with the overwhelming majority of Germans, so VW might need to leave Wolfsburg and relocate to your part of Canada where NOx auto emissions are encouraged.
