Thanks for the info. I was thinking they raised the margin requirement to 60% or something. Lucky (and I use this term loosely) for me I still have this thing backed 100%.

Got to hang on for a few more weeks......

Raising margin requirements? Someone was asking about manipulation; how is this kosher? I suppose they have a Swiss Cheese - oops - Chinese wall between money management and brokerage. Let's see, raise maintenance margin requirements when the stock's at its high, squeeze the shorts for a few more points just at year end when they're thinking about taking the tax loss anyway (would so many cave so easily if not for taxes?), then sell into the rally.

Hey, maybe the deal they struck with Vinik to get him to leave was to let him set their margin requirements!?!

Of course, we won't know how many shorts are covering until around Jan 20 when Jan Nasdaq SI comes out (we should have mid-Dec any day now).
