IMVHO, this sector will not turn until the price of oil turns. The herd is scared that SE Asia slowdown will drop demand and the price of oil further, with the entire bullish scenario for drillers (etc) falling to pieces. Convincing data indciating firm demand may not arive until this spring. Of course, if Saddam blows something up, the stocks will soar; otherwise, the herd will wait until the bullsih case is re-established. Pretty sickening, eh? Check out the Put open interest - have never seen it that high on these guys. Would not be surprised if GLM closed at 20 or 22.5 at January expiration. Mike
