Elk, Not certain but beleive that it can run on the standard copper wire, however current switch gear can not handle this speed. Will be available only where there own new switch gear is installed. If your not in megagopolis, probably won't be available. Question how it will interface with the standard phone co? Should be interesting. FWIW as have more questions than answers. Larrie
