Craig: My cyber friend, I think there is a misunderstanding here! I am NOT a trader! I am what you may call your boring type investor! What you quted is from my profile. It is NOT an investment advice! My investment strategy has always been as follow (as you stated):: 1. Never short a stock! 2. Never buy on margin. 3. Do not play the options game. 4. Buy only high tech stocks. If they drop, then add more, if they reach the target price then I sell! I never claimed (in my profile or anywhere else) for people to follow my advice! It is just a description of how I invest! And this is what I thought a profile of a person to reflect!! Having read your comments a bit more I see that you are a trader (and somewhat of a self claimed successful trader). I have been in the market for a little over 12 years now, which in my opinion is very short and therefore I do not consider myself very experienced. However and one thing I have come to observe during the past 12+ years is that in a bull market like the one we are having everyone is a winner (at one point or another). And as a manifestation of this winning, everyone becomes involve in the investment. As a result of the exuberance of winning most of the times, most people who participate in the market become overly self confident of their investment skills (which again thanks to the bull market winning is a fundamental rule of the game rgardless of what you buy! Some may win immediately and some will have to wait a little longer, but overall everyone is a winner). Anyway, because of the overly self confident exuberance, everyone starts to believe that they are the Peter Lynch, or John Templtons of the world. The attitude of move over, I am here to teach you how to invest becomes widely held by most newly comers to the investment world!!! As a simple example just go to any SI thread and observe how passionate people are about their choices and the attitude of I am right and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong! seems to the fashion of the day! Anyway, I have no idea how exuberant you are with your wins, but from the sound of your comments you seem to be enjoying a strange exuberance and somewhat of a move over I am here syndrom! There is absolutely nothing worng with this and this is natural thanks to the beautiful bull market we have been experiencing over the past 5 years (and especially the past 3 years). It is just that the exuberance and attitude is somewhat of an interesting phenomenon to observe!! As for you replacing me for Jimmy Ridgers as your hero! Well, thanks, but as I said, I neither have the experience nor the self claimed investment skills that you or Jimmy Rodgers seem to have!!! Best Regards, Addi Jamshidi
