>> It is wingnut gospel that scientists are incompetent.

The problem with climate scientists is only the incompetent one gets heard. The truly brilliant among them -- who have challenged the bogus claims -- are considered to be the wack jobs.

There are climate scientists who go where the science takes them. And there are some (like Mann, and others in his group) who have created bogus science in an effort to further their careers.

I would encourage you to look at the work of Richard Lindzen, Willie Soon, and of course, Steve McIntyre (and Ross McKitrick). These people understand more about the true science of climate change than the other guys do.

Most seriously you should consider some of the criticisms of the various IPCC "findings" and the absolute fraud of the peer review process as documented by some of the above and summarized by A. W. Montfort.

If you would take half the energy you spend giving lip service to the lie and use it to actually question the science you would develop a true understanding of the issues. It is not complicated and it certainly worth doing if you want to have any credibility at all.

I have always doubted the science but was open minded about it until I started actually reading the articles and understanding the statistics. It quickly became abundantly clear that the evidence is not that to support the claims as of this time.
