I don't think anyone really disputes that the climate is changing. Always has, always will.

The nature and extent of the changes are in dispute, whether humans are causing it is in dispute, and whether humans can reasonably do anything about it is in dispute. And whether they SHOULD do anything about it is in dispute.

But one thing is determinate: A great deal of the research that has been targeted toward proving climate change is a hazard, has been based on poor science and poor statistics. And there is no compelling evidence that a real, substantial, and dangerous situation is evolving. That proof simply hasn't been made.

The science is lousy. The statistics are atrocious. And the data is, at the very best, sketchy and insufficient.

That is not to say we shouldn't conduct research. But we ought to be researching both sides of the issue (looking honestly for signs global warming may or may not exist or be hazardous). The reality is that people who disagree with the taxpayer-compensated default positions have a very difficult time shouting down the well funded liars.
