An 18 year period of no warming is proof that we've had 18 years of no warming. It doesn't say there isn't an overall warming or colling trend that will eventually manifest itself ... but it IS a problem for the catastrophic crisis theory of warming that lysenkoists are trying to sell us. It suggests we aren't in the midst of runaway crisis. And it contradicts the idea that CO2, which HAS been increasing over the last 18 years, is some kind of master warming switch. The warming pause wasn't predicted by warming theory and failure to predict things accurately is a valid test of a theory. A decade of no US Category 3+ hurricanes is another failed prediction of warming theory.
