There is a trend upward since the end of the little ice age and that's on balance a good thing. How do tell how much effect mankind is having over what is happening naturally is a valid question. But what we hear from the alarmist side is we're in a crisis and we have take drastic action now. That just isn't supported by facts. your parochial interest in wanting more oil consumption to support your old industry I wouldn't call it parochial ... it's a good and valuable industry .. seriously, YOU yourself heat your home every winter with fuel oil. You must think that's a good thing. My industry exists to supply the demand of people like YOU. and a virulent political interest which should not be part of the discussion of climate change... Give me a break, the alarmist side is driven by politics. They want the government to force consumers (like you, remember) off fossil fuels. I'm not asking you to use heating oil for either a parochial or political interest .... how you heat your home is your business .... you can go 100% solar if you want ... in fact, come to think of it, I'd actually like to see you do it.
