Bearded One, besides that, what happens when the Judge compares what happens when he uninstalls something else, and you actually got to go dig up the disks to get it back, versus what happens with IE? Not that I know what happens with IE, I got the impression it just reappears instantly, but as I said, my systems seem to be unique, I don't get the option to try it out. And why does the button (under the control panel, add/remove programs, install/uninstall tab) say add/remove anyway? Maybe the add part is just for those special Microsoft things, where "uninstall" has that special Microsoftese meaning. Sadly, I don't have any of them on the list right now.

Cheers, Dan.

Bearded One,

>Basically, how much trouble is Microsoft in because their OS says "Internet Explorer has been successfully removed?" at the end of the uninstall function?

Ach, a lie here, contempt there, what's the big deal? That's the problem with Americans, always asking too many questions about the activities of Big Business. Users just need to know their place; like the Volga Boatmen, just sing and reboot, sing and reinstall...

Cheers,

Norm
