Economically speaking, in the restaurant business, when you increase labor costs you are going to reduce the number of workers, overall. That is an economic fact of life.
Of course, then you simply reduce the number of tables and shorten the menu cause you can't afford to do so much..... Raising your prices wouldn't cross your mind even though your competitors who are succeeding are doing it and doing well..... If food prices increased and the restaurant raised their prices that wouldn't bother you a bit.
