Hank,

That's not always true. The only time we get heavy handed is when someone comes on the thread to blast Dell and at the same time do an blantant advertisement for CPQ.

Otherwise, we like our bears.

Hank, you're wrong! Andrew provided reasons for his bearish stance. That is something you have failed to do. Most of us on this thread can appreciate the arguments Andrew made, and if he is right, then his conclusion is supportable. In other words, his assumptions can form the basis for a lively discussion.

In previous posts I have repeatedly proded you to provide the reasons for your short position. All the reponse we've gotten is something about "dojis", which is about as illuminating as blaming the SEA debacle on Hale-Bopp, full moons or el nino.

In any event, happy holidays to all on this thread.

Regards,

Paul

McNabb,

The more bulls the better! Everyone knows that when the euphoria surrounding a helium issue peaks it pops and goes tumbling back down to fair valuation. Remember IOM at 70? Same deal with DELL. It has simply risen too far too fast on unrealistic expectations. Yes they had some great quarters in 1997. Will they give a repeat performance in 1998? Doubtful.

Is Dell still a great long term investment? yes. But short term there is going to be pain, grief, and heartache. Mark my words!
