When the issue of abortion comes up in the Texas legislature (which is every election) the expert witnesses are often listed as faculty of Baylor. They testify to the darnest things. The other reason I suspect Baylor involvement was that many of the enclaves housing the pregnant teenagers surrounded the community of Waco. There was also a lot of lawyer work involved in gaining exclusive rights to these babies and the Baylor Law School professors have been supplying the laws restricting abortions to the legislature for as long as I can remember.
