While the OS (win9x) seems cheap by itself. Actually, MSFT makes a lot more money after user is hooked. Since there is no alternatives, people just have to pay for the key to their own bank account and hand it to MSFT. That has got to be one of the most beautiful descriptions I have ever heard. It is a perfect picture of the microsoft monopoly, and a poinient example of why anti-trust laws are so important. Msoft has reason to be afraid of the DOJ just as a rapist needs to be afraid the judge. The law in the USA has power over the lawbreaker in the end, and since Microsoft's monopoly exists without question IMO (and in the opinion of MANY MANY others) they have reason to be afraid. They are guilty. In a way this is one of the most important tests of the checks and balances in the capitalist system of our lives. If MSOFT wins it will not only be a defeat for computer users (this will be nearly everyone in the future) but a shame to our system of society. Not to mention the vast implications to the world at large. I believe even with all the complications it has caused, and the growing pains it started the breakup of the bells was of landmark importance. This is IMO as important... perhaps more. If the DOJ decides against them, not only will it benifit us all in the long run, MSOFT will also continue to prosper just as AT&T has. :) My hat is of to Gates, and the Redmond bunch. It is not many people or organizations that are able to reach the point they have. They've achieved the ultimate goal in business They have WON! It is now time for the DOJ to declare microsoft the winner, and say two simple words... GAME OVER putting on flame retardant clothing, cAPSLOCK
