I haven't shopped at Haggens for well over 20 years although their variety and freshness, at the time, sure beat every other store in the area. The store in my area (an hour away) is still in business. I just don't bother now that other grocery stores have gotten savvy as to what consumers want. They really didn't back then.

I looked it up, and the closest one to me is closing. Not sure when, but I will really miss it. I love their organic produce dept. They tried to do a Whole Foods thing and the clientele is just different in Monroe. From what I understand, the one in my old town will stay open, so I can always go there, but it's about 8-10 miles further to drive. I also like this frozen pizza and Haggens is the only place I've been able to find it.
