Turned a charging pit bull with my evil pistol a couple days ago.....it came out of the back of the barn at about 30-40 feet away, a couple of trash barrels between us gave me the chance to react in time.....otherwise, who knows how it would have gone. It's clear that "we" mutually startled one another, but I was not the one charging.
