All those who are claiming Apple "must go down" I must say this looks eerily familiar. Just a short while ago AAPL was near $13 and then shot up to $29 on some relatively meaningless hype.

Can you imagine how far and fast it would go up on some real good news? Near term I'm thinking the appointment of a great CEO with a good reputation followed by some strict cost cutting moves could push it back up to the 20's in a heartbeat.

I also tend to believe that there is a core group of Mac fans out there who simply will not abandon the platform no matter what. Hence, Apple revenues likely have some bottom. The company won't simply fade out of existence like Commodore or Atari. And while I know it is herecy to Macheads I should also add that the Apple brand name could sell alot of PC clones if they took that route.

Apple is not a doomed company. They simply need to find the right CEO and pick the right direction. And frankly I think a stock near a 10 year low is a GOOD value. Look at what Gerstner did to IBM. The same can happen to Apple. They still have smart dedicated people working there and a strong brand.
