That is on the National Review website. Not exactly an unbiased source. Looks like they managed to cherry pick a paper. The fact of the matter is that in the wake of the gun buyback, the murder and suicide rates went down. A lot. But, over the years, the gun lobby managed to chip away at the law(s). As a result, the murder and suicide rates have started to climb. Hm, implement strict controls, murder and suicide rates go down, relax the controls and the rates start to go up. Wonder if they are related?
