The details ...

This is EXACTLY what I was referring to in my previous post #294 !!!

An 11 year old youngster shoots an innocent young girl WITH HIS FATHER'S SHOTGUN !!!

This has got nothing to do with the "right to bear arms" ... this has got to do with the extreme negligence and blatant irresponsibility of a 'parent', coupled with either the lack of adequate legislative requirement regarding the safe keeping of a weapon in an approved safe or similar, or, if such a legislation exists, it highlights the lack of control, enforcement and regulation of the relevant law.

It appears that the youngster has (rightly, in my opinion) been charges with 1st. degree murder in a juvenile court. I suggest that the 'father' be charged to the FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW pertaining to this act.

Maybe that will go some way towards making any other parent think very carefully with regard to ensuring that their under aged offspring can not have unsupervised access to their weapon(s).
