For all you bozos that own a PC nothing works without MSFT. If you want a choice buy a Mac. IE is an HTML interpreter that gathers data from the web through the TCP/IP connection. One can call it an app. or they can call it a front end device or a utility or whatever marketing wants to call it. Speaking of TCP/IP let's call that a monopoly program that everyone has to have and that's the truth. You will argue that it is free and I'll counter with so is IE. I don't see a banner big enough for MSFT to hide behind. They are carrying the banner of free enterprise!
