Troy, one stock one week: ETH long open 12/23 I am frantic at this point, but wanted to get my pick in for the week... My PC's hard drive began to SCREAM (literally) late Friday PM and go bad (right as I was talking to AT on mIRC) -- I bailed out and shut her down, but it appeared to be too late! (And no I haven't backed up in a LONG time.) Consequently, I have not had access to the net since late Friday... I called my tech support and a hot swap is on the way, but just for the heck of it I tried tonight: It cranked and wheezed and ground and squealed and made all sorts of unpleasant noises, but seemed to "warm up" and finally booted NT for me so here I am (quickly) as I'm only taking time to write this post to keep in the contest while I frantically copy stuff off the hard drive before it DIES AGAIN! (aghghaghaghagheeeeejeez!!!!) Best to all this season, may the spirit be with you and your family. Thank you, Dan p.s. This is an HP OmniBook w/a Toshiba 2.4 gig (bad) drive... why my company does not buy CPQ's is beyond me! I don't have to tell you what I think of HP's laptops!
