"Stand naked outside long term at -60 degrees you will freeze to death"

However, there IS an alternative... to being stupid enough to decide to stand outside naked at -60.
"Standing outside naked at -60 until you die" may be inevitable for you... but I have a choice, and I will choose not to do it.

You have not presented any valid argument... to show why, in the long term, there is not ever any alternative to "inevitabilities" that we CAN choose to opt out of. Death and taxes, yada yada...

That some things ARE inevitable... doesn't mean that applies to make inevitable... any old thing that you (wrongly) choose to claim is inevitable.

Our choices of market behaviors... are not inevitabilities. Period. That you don't see a path to an alternative... is merely a reason we need FREE markets that function... so that people who are not similarly limited can lead us by proceeding to do what you claim is impossible, in spite of your claiming it to be so.

We're not discussing philosophical determinism... but markets... and markets are not deterministic.

Reality is, we have CHOICES... including that we don't HAVE to accept what others may prefer to define as inevitable for us... only as that choice tends to disadvantage us, in order to benefit them, some how...

"And you cannot produce food in the quantity required to feed to 11 billion people with 500 year old technology".

Why are you recommending that we revert our agricultural practices to 1500's technology ? Do you have so little faith in human ingenuity... that it means you have to believe the technology we have... isn't possible ?

Why do you think it is not possible... for farmers to generate their own power... even if that means growing a crop sufficient to convert to their own fuel use, first, before generating a surplus in production beyond that ?

Is it "impossible" that we might find a way to manage crops... that is more efficient... and doesn't require expending the resources on that effort that we do today ?

That doesn't seem "impossible" to me... rather than both highly probable, technically, and economically, merely a matter of price...

The "inevitability" crap you're being fed... is just that... crap.
