Brent, you guys are keeping better records than I am of the number of shares I'm long. I used the number 160m because Paul did but I'm not sure how many shares I have now. I'm probably closer to 190m now. I picked up close to 10m more last week in that $27-$28 range! If you really want to know, I'll see if my broker can help you out. Geez, that'll mean counting those in the vault too!

As to my cost per share, I'm not sure which record you want. I transferred 370 shares to Precious Child Pregnancy Support Center last week. I got almost a $10,000 deduction (unfortunately it was the day Presstek closed at $26.50) and the cost basis for those shares was just under $8. I bought an additional 400 shares at $28 to replace those shares. Which cost basis do I use in calculating my total dollars invested?

Most of my shares were bought in 1994. I bought some in that crazy runup to $200 (I think I wound up with some at $194 pre-split). My total dollars invested is somewhere just under $2 million. Do I really have to do the math to satisfy you? If your calculation shows my cost basis is $11.03, I'll settle for that!

As for Paul's average, I recall him posting several times that he shorted 5m more shares and the price was somewhere around $50. We've had a split since then. I'm not the expert here but I think that would mean 10,000 at $25. Is that the way it works?

You wanna run down all of your trades in Presstek from beginning to end? Aw come on! Pull out those confirms and share your records with us. I seem to remember that you sold half your puts and got all your money out and then......

BTW, I started to have certificates issued today!

Why is everyone worrying about "poor ol nanny" by my calculations even with the loss she has about $5million in prst. thats $5million using the 160m figure. even if the stock fell 2 points, that is nothing but pocket change for someone who bought this stock under $10. Remember some of her posts talked about her having the stock when it went to $200. So she has seen her falls before. Early this year PRSt was at 19.75 after split, it is still over 50 % higher than the low.

Brent, aren't you the one who sold his puts too soon. No I remember you sold one half at your break even then held the rest till you lost your profit.

At least granny still has her profits.

As for the shorts, many have good profits if they have covered, but again remember this stock is around $32 which is 12 points higher than the low. Do you think its possible that there are other people like you who sold out, or bought in to soon.?

It seems to me that granny has been the mainstay of the longs. she keeps her money where her mouth is. she doesn't vary, or trade on the ups and downs. she is very consistent, which is more than I can say for some of the traders on this thread. She is an investor, not a trader. I give her alot of credit for that. I personally am a trader and like most traders wouldn't have the stomach to go through what she does on a daily basis.

so back off and give her some respect.,
burt

Brent, I just realized that I was responding to Paul on the SI thread with things he said to me on the Yahoo thread!

Paul said this to me on the Yahoo thread:

Subj: dimes vs. loss of 3.4mm

Nanny, I have many dollars, not dimes.

Since you have difficulty counting, you have stated you are long 160,000 shares. You have seen your position decline by 3.4mm. If I had lost this much value, I'd be counting dimes to.

This is what he said to me on the SI thread:

Nanny,

Couldn't help but calculate that your investment has decline 3.4mm dollars. $500,000
more than PRsts managements fine.

As for falling on their swords, a 2.9mm fine is not trivial, and find it difficult that even
you can find it as a positive.

All these conversations on all these threads is getting confusing!

Did it sound like Paul was being nasty to me too?

I'm having a hard time figuring out what's naughty and what's nice anymore!
