Then again, if they always got what they wanted, wouldn't most people want to see Office integrated with the OS and at no extra charge?

Doug, I believe this actually came up in the original hearing, and Urowsky's response was that "it wouldn't be economic" for Microsoft to do that, though they'd be within their rights to do so, if some other competition had to be killed once and for all. Of course, what the customers want is what Microsoft gives them, as demonstrated by the perenial #1 PC software package at retail. Why the OEMs aren't listening to those customers, I can't say.
