>> About the prison.gay connection? Are you serious? The man is a crackpot.

"The fundamental assumption of the analogy he's using is insane," said Helen Eigenberg, professor of criminal justice at the University of Tennessee, who has been studying sexuality and incarceration for about 25 years. "I don't know of any research that substantiates the [claim] that men go to prison and come out gay. There's no data to support that claim," she said.

Right. And 97% of scientists believe in global warming.

Existing research, which is not extensive, tends to end with, "Prisoners have sex with the same gender because there are none of the other gender available." That, to any sensible person, is "choosing" homosexuality over straight. Whether it persists beyond prison? There is at least some debate, but even researchers who find evidence are loathe to call it that.

But the point holds. THERE IS ZERO EVIDENCE TO SUGGEST THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS GENETIC AT THIS POINT, AND STRONG EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY.

You may or may not call that "choice" (I don't), but the fact is that it isn't genetic as far as we know. The latest research from this week suggests that it is "genetic" but that the genetic influence is acquired from the environment. W.T.F. Now, we're blurring the lines between genetic and not genetic trying to change science to fit the agenda.

Al, I remember watching a prison documentary one time, and one of the inmates was recorded saying, "If I'm gonna be here for life, I'm gonna get myself some MEAT."

Of course, the LGBT community will say that he was always gay to begin with, and that's also what Professor Eigenberg is saying. The only thing that has changed is the prisoner's "public sexual identity," according to them.

Now let me ask you a question. Why should it matter whether sexuality is a choice or something you're born with? Even if Ben Carson is right, why should that blunt the LGBT political agenda?
