Let's just focus on that one comment Ben Carson made, the one about prison turning men into homosexuals.

You said it yourself, prison isn't a normal environment. So does that mean that homosexuality can be forced upon individuals in so-called "abnormal environments"?

Or do you believe what Professor Eigenberg is saying, that these men were always homosexuals, but their "public sexual identity" didn't line up with their inclinations until they landed in prison?

Either way, why should Ben Carson's comment matter in terms of public policy? Why should what he said be automatically shot down as "ignorant" and "bigoted" and used as proof that he is unfit for the office of president?
