To all on this thread:

One very sound beaten down NAZ stock is Hvide Marine (HMAR). They recently (12/3) announced a secondary offering, that along with tax selling is killing this stock. It currently is trading at $21/shr P/E for 1997 11.86 for 1998E it is under 10. This is a deep discount vs. others in the industry.

HMAR continues to show very strong revenue and earnings growth. The estimates for 1999 earnings are above $3/share. They have been aggressive in their purchases of other fleets as the industry shows strong trends in consolidation. The 1997 purchases will add and estimated $20Million to 1998 revenue. The day rates for their boats continue to receive upward pressure as demand is far outpacing supply. They also will have 2 new deepwater boats come online in 1998 and 2 more in 1999.

DLJ loves this company and is posting a 12 month price target of $45. That price would only bring them in line with industry P/E averages. HMAR's fundamentals and excellent management deserve a premium.

The MM's are killing this stock before the second offering to make sure that they can all buy it at the lowest possible price. After the offering this stock should soar.

I am in at $28 and am waiting for 2 day stabilization before adding to my position. If anyone has other information please post.

Good Investing and Happy Holidays
