I know the precedent well. The Ontario Appellate Court ruled that the internet broadcast limit as defined by the newspaper rule is a matter for trial, google Toronto Life Publishing case.

Ergo, you are going to have to set case law to change it, which means a visit to Appellate and the Supreme Court would be in your future. It's very unlikely anyone would ever sue and not follow the current rules, unless they were rich and crazy. Maybe you qualify there.
