To me they are simply too loud and you have a good chance of shooting yourself in the hand. :-)

I would rather get an old .25-35 Winchester Model 94.

I have both a rifle and saddle ring carbine (src) in .25-20 Winchester 92, and a src 94 in .38-55. One is missing a buttstock and I'm working on fitting a 90% finished stock - tedious work. If I ever come across an original at a fair price I'll replace it with a real one.
