I watched the documentary 'Restrepo' on Netflix, and it's sequel, 'Korengal', both about OUR war in Afghanistan. I left both with the question, 'What the hell were we trying to accomplish there?'. The Afghanis in the movie are living in a far past century - no electricity, no running water. They ALL look like jihaddis. They just mainly want not to get killed, by the Taliban or the Americans. They have no idea what democracy is, or why they should want it, which they don't. The Taliban have a much better idea of how to deal with these people than we do. We can't identify the 'bad guys', cuz they look identical to the 'good guys'. The only people who's loyalty can be identified are American soldiers. Well worth a view. Any young man wanting to join the military should watch it.
