As always the result of Republicans taking over both houses and limiting the Democrats profligate spending plans.

That seems to be the consistent pattern, Republicans explode the debt and deficit, by cutting taxes without cutting spending, and Democrats pay both down. Time after time..

Obama signed the 2009 budget bill in to law.

Whether or not you include 2009 for Obama, Obama has had the 3rd or 4th highest deficits as a percentage of GDP for any president. Much higher then Bush, or Reagan.
