There's the old rehashed over and over again (ad nauseum) that the climate has always been changing. This is true, but misleading. The thing they fail to understand that the current rate of change of the climate is very fast. This is unprecedented and is disruptive enough to cost dearly if nothing is done to slow it down.

The extinction event that happened in the Permian Era was a warming caused by unusual volcanic activity. It took 10,000 years for it to fully play out resulting in the wiping out of 90% of life on earth. With the man made climate change, we're hearing 100 years or less. Biologists are saying the mass-extinction is already starting (as evidenced by 90% of sea life already disappearing in the past 50 years). Not all of this can be credited to climate change. Much has to do with pollution and overfishing in the seas and habitat destruction in the land. You guys need to wake up and get your head out of your buts.
