<<<<<Kim Dae-jung said on Monday that layoffs were inevitable if that was the only way companies could survive.

.......if this is true--the turnaround may not take more than 1 year--like mexico.

.......btw: what do you think will happen with drillers this Q? is this a buying opportunity? has the market over reacted? r will we get crushed more as the new year begins?

ON CNBC THIS AM

analyst absolutely pounded the table on the oil services sector. when asked where you could make money this year he said without thinking--this sector.

he said the fundamentals have not changed, people have not stopped driving cars, etc.

one caveat--he said you will need to see this as a way to make the most money OVER THE NEXT YEAR--not a short term play.

he expects the bottom will be in january. i assume he is saying tha because he expects earnings to come in above expectations.

that means we buy good companies over the next 1-2 months and then hang on and pray!

any comments?
